The Postel Telecom Site has unveiled the names of the two Sony Xperia devices. The C530X device will be labeled Xperia SP and the other major handset C210X will be named as Xperia L. The latter is supposed to be a low-end device.
The Xperia SP, phone with a transparent bar is set to be the next device in the Sony’s NXT devices. It will boast a 4.3 inch display with an aluminum chassis. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon S4 chip by Qualcomm clocked at 1.7GHz which is pretty good as compared to its counterparts. It is a 720p display- same as that of Xperia S.
While the Xperia SP boasts a 1.7GHz Snapdragon S4 chipset the Xperia L has a 1GHz dual-core Snapdragon chipset, either the MSM8227 or the MSM 8627. From the graphics division it hints to be drive by the Adreno 305 GPU and will have a FWVGA display resolution of 480×854. It will run out of the box Jellybean 4.1.2 OS.
Adding to the beat, Sony also released the price Xperia Z to be £529 which works out to be 44379 INR in the UK. The Xperia Z being IP certified for water and dust is fair to be in this price band. Its competitors are the recently launched HTC Butterfly and the iPhone 5 which stands in this price bracket. One could see a pattern here that all the high end phones are almost of the same price. Be it Samsung Galaxy S III when it launched or the Samsung Note II or even the HTC One X. All these phones cost around 38000 but the iPhone 5 is for 45000.
